sega&#039;s SG-1000 (which is before Mark3 and Master System) was released on July 15, 1983 in japan which is exactly the same day as nintendo&#039;s Famicon (NES) was released. and famicon was more powerful than SG-1000.
for cd drive, PC-Engine has its CDROM a few years before Sega CD. Not to mention that the pce cdrom was a way greater success than the mega cd...
for modem, Famicom has its modem in 1983 way before sega has one...
although sega has its share of contributions to the game industry and Mega Drive (Genesis) was a great console at its time, it&#039;s not really as ahead of its time as some may think...]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[i agree, sega has always been ahead of its time. the master system was out before the nes, the genisis was out befor the snes,the saturn was out before the ps1 and so on, sega cd was the first with cd drive gaming, s-video, also had the 4 meg ram cart which made the imports os sf vs marvel incredible! the nomad had portable color gaming and played genisis carts! was a little bulky.  but i wish they were still here making consoles....sniff....]]></description>
