Yep u r exactly rite. They discuss that in the book as well. I had no idea b4 then. I was blown away that was the origin 4 such a scary word…lol.

In reply to doub7. will give it a look. by the way the word assassin is originally arabic and it has a different meaning, its actually hashaasheens from smoking hasheesh, i think the killers used to smoke and they were named after it.

I became really fascinated by the time period after Assassins 1. Played the PSP game cuz it continued the story.

I also read an amazing book called The Assassins by Bernard Lewis about the real life Assassins. The most amazing thing is that the real guys didn’t run after killing their target. They accepted death as part of their assignment, which is amazing 2 me. Great book & only 150 pages.

In reply to doub7. no bias from your part at all. you actually surprised me. i never knew assasins 1 was a muslim killing christians, wow. i thought it was ezio. you know after thinking about it there is nothing wrong with games depicting historical stories. so i'm ok with this game, after all there was a struggle between muslims and christians during the crusades. there were some fascinating stories then actually. i would love to play a game between saladin and king richard.

Well Assassins Creed is a game where u r a Muslim killing Christians so I don’t c how this is anymore controversial than that. It seemed 2 escape controversy altogether which I was surprised by. & 4 the record I am agnostic so I have no biases regarding either religion.
