The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as been in active development since at least 2013, with preliminary work on the title possibly beginning as early as 2012. It is the first mainline entry in the Zelda series since 2011, when we got The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. It has suffered at least two high profile delays. It is, in other words, a game that has been a long time coming.
And now, it is finally here- in 25 days, the entire world will be playing the newest entry in Nintendo’s legendary series; and ahead of that, Nintendo have apparently wrapped up development on the new game. Apparently, they held party for the development staff of the game in Tokyo to commemorate the game’s development being wrapped up.
Breath of the Wild, apart from taking an eternity to develop, also had Nintendo’s largest development team ever working on it. Developers from Monolith Soft, the creators of Xenoblade, also worked on the game. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is due out on March 3 worldwide on Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
