Nintendo has struggled transitioning into the HD era and lack of man power is probably a good part of that reason. The games still have the same quality gameplay as before, but there’s simply a lack of innovation and content in the Wii U era. LoZ:BotW aside, if you had to describe all Nintendo games since the Wii U launched, the word you would use is “safe.” The design side has had no problems but they should probably look to heavily staff up their studios and teams and bring in strong project managers so the the heads of projects can focus on big picture game design without sweating the actual work delegation. Let the creative leads focus on the creative side of things.
