Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation had its fair share of announcements but the biggest was undoubtedly about The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, an updated version of the classic N64 title that will be arriving on the 3DS in Spring 2015. Check out the video for the announcement above.
As of now, there aren’t many details on how the game will differ from the original though Nintendo president Satoru Iwata pointed out the game’s unique and dark nature. It will certainly be interesting to see how well it translates over to the 3DS hardware especially considering the brilliant porting done on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask isn’t like your typical Zelda game and is actually a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time. In fact, in a major departure from the series, you have a fixed time limit to prevent the moon from crashing into Hyrule. Will you be picking it up on 3DS? Let us know in the comments.
