The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes Launches on October 23

Not the Zelda game you were looking for.

It’s a far cry from the epic Wii U Zelda game that we have been waiting for ever since it first got revealed at E3 last year, but in case you were interested, The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes will be launching on the Nintendo 3DS line of systems on October 23 in North America and Europe, Nintendo announced today.

Announced at E3 earlier this year, the game is another multiplayer take on the Zelda franchise, featuring a team of three Links taking on dungeons and puzzles cooperatively. The game can also be played single player, and seems to have been developed using the same engine that powered the superlative The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Triforce Heroes is only one multiplayer take on a franchise known for its single player focus that will be coming to 3DS in the next few months- at E3, Nintendo also announced Metroid Prime: Federation Force, a multiplayer arena shooter based on the Metroid franchise, that will be launching on the Nintendo 3DS some time next year.

Stay tuned to GamingBolt for information on both these games.
