The Order: 1886 Studio Co-founder, “I Blame Ourselves” For Not Communicating The Vision Properly

Ready At Dawn's Andrea Pessino on why he thinks the recent criticism of The Order is unjustified.

The developers of The Order 1886 have been in a bit of hot water recently and they have also been finding themselves coming under fire from gamers due to the game’s length. The PS4 exclusive game made waves recently as it was shown to be completed in under a minuscule time of 5 hours. This flies in the face of developers having previously said the game will last around 10 to 12 hours. Of course length is subjective as any one can do speed runs but regardless  Co-Founder and CTO of Ready at Dawn, Andrea Pessino has came out in an interview saying “I just have to blame ourselves.”

The excerpt goes on to read, “In some way, it’s obvious that we’re not communicating our intentions…It may be a lack of our ability to communicate our vision. It seems like everyone is trying to find, not a problem but rather dishonesty, it seems like we’re trying to hide something. I thought we had been very clear since the very beginning, about what we were trying to do.”

“People are looking for something to throw at our game, some reason to hate it.” What are your thoughts on the playtime of the game? Shout out in the comments section.
