Technically you haven’t seen what 1.84TFs can actually do, no one really has yet because direct use of a GPU like that hasn’t yet been witnessed by anyone outside of a number of people at Sony WWS.
It’s not just about the GPU though, the fact everything’s built on the same die (APU), with direct access to that 8GBs of GDDR5 RAM is also a big boost to getting the most out of the parts that were picked.

So far API overhead is still pretty high in released games & what’s been shown to the public, even in the so called lower level GNM is barely a taster of what’s possible on the platform.
ICE Team has done tests & the results that are possible are really quite astonishing.
Even to our developers the things that they’ve been able to accomplish in studio tests are really wonderful.
