Really.. “Horizon has been created was to examine Pluto and its five moons: Nix, Styx, Kerberos, Charon and Hydra, but also other cosmic bodies located in Kuiper belt. Pluto might open the gates of an unseen planetary world and a new type of planets in the Kuiper Belt” …

The CPU used in Horizon fires thrusters, monitor sensors, and transmit data, as well as guides the probe to Ploto etc. That’s = something☺

NASA’s engineers don’t need power; they need reliability…

NASA’s Pluto probe wakes up, powered by 20-year-old Sony PlayStation chip = Awesome knowing that horizons spacecraft, which launched in 2006 was using a Sony chip found in a console.

Sony and Nasa must be proud☺

PS: “NASA actually helped code some of the software that powers Project Morpheus & some of the NASA scientists at JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) helped Sony make some of the showfloor Project Morpheus demos at GDC”.
