Today, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Deck13 released some brand new screenshots for The Surge 2, the upcoming sequel to their 2017 sci-fi Souls-inspired action RPG. Not a lot of details are known about the game as now, with Deck13 choosing to keep a lot of the story under wraps, but promises that the game will have more of the combat, customization and sprawling environment of the original, with a new updated version of the  limb targeting system which allows players to target specific limbs of enemies.

That said, we at least have some newly released screenshots for the game to gawk at, which give us a pretty good look at how The Surge 2 is shaping up, in visual terms if nothing else. From a look at enemy designs and combat to the environments and some of the weapons, there’s plenty of stuff in there to keep fans interested. You can take a look at the screens and images in the gallery below.

There’s no date on the game yet, we only know it’ll release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2019, and Focus seems confident the game will release sometime in the next few months. The original game was something of a surprise hit, and an interesting futuristic twist on the template set by FromSoftware’s Souls titles.
