That’s mostly because there is a bigger gap from PS4 to Xbox One then there was with the PS3 and Xbox 360, which highlights that graphics does matter even to console gamers.

But I agree with you, I’m a PC gamer but nowadays big publishers put way too much focus on visuals and not enough on making a good game.
