the problem with sony is that because of the success of the last of us and uncharted, they have made ALL their big franchises fit this mold. sony has lost their ways and has become activision.

look at these games…. all third-person adventure games with similar core mechanics.

why isn’t god of war a fast-paced slasher? where is resistance, warhawk, puppeteer, motorstorm, etc?

sony is the TRUE cancer of gaming. while nintendo an microsoft create games that span different genres, sony is making a statement that game developers do not need to take risks with their franchises anymore. it’s all about releasing games as fast as possible with little innovation and rake in the money.

when they do make a game that’s a different genre, it’s done with little care and effort (ex. knack, the tomorrow children, driveclub).

there will be nothing like splatoon 2, sea of thieves, pokemon, halo wars, arms, halo, cuphead, ori, metroid prime 4, forza horizon, mario kart 8, super mario odyssey or sunset overdrive coming from sony’s camp anytime soon…. if they do, like I said…. it will be a low effort game scoring poorly.

from now on, sony’s big games will fit their new cookie-cutter mold…. disgusting.

how is it possible thst a indie game like cuphead can be sooo much better than mark cerny’s masterpiece, knack? sony just cares about profits and will put out multiple titles with no concern for quality.

then we have the issue with how every modern game from sony is a cookie cutter game, following activision’s pattern of releasing a yearly COD that looks and plays almost identical to the last….. another quick buck for sony, another loss for gamers.

if you watch this video, it’s INCREDIBLE how similar their games are… it’s like COD. sure they change the story and add little differences, but the core game stays the SAME…

now I know why god of war went from fast-paced slasher, to a story driven action/adventure game (with a kid)…. it was so they could fit it in their “last of us” mold. talk about killing franchises.

Meanwhile in the real world..

MS now offer FREE backward compatibility with every console they have ever made.

Sony offer nothing but poor quality streaming backward compatibility and charge a disgusting amount for it.
Even worse they also release a lot of those old games charge full price and then have the cheek to call them PS4 exclusives.

……..

MS have the world’s best console internet service and keep the Xbox Live charge the same.

Sony have an average service and since last month now charge people of the UK and Europe £10 more and offer absolutely NOTHING in return.

Sony have a big problem with the Blu-ray drive and just like the YLOD they pretend it’s not happening.

I notice that you are having to go back to the Xbox 360 to try and justify anything you say lol.
It was MS who allowed external drives, Sony forced internal only.
It was MS that allowed Ultra HD Blu-ray player built in , Sony force lower quality streaming and give you NO choice to buy retail discs that you can exchange.

No PlayStation’s in this house.
