					<description><![CDATA[Uh Uh. Damien Monnier did a poor job @ explaining this for the sake of the web. Bigger change as in rewriting their game engine code to get better performance. That&#039;s what he meant. They discussed this @ GDC. If your game started on older API(s) just porting to DX12 might NOT do anything. In fact you can even get slower performance because with each new SDK, new concepts are introduced. Its very hard to keep up with that stuff time wise. For example new resource binding concepts etc. To take advantage of that, you literally will have to rewrite your code. So Yes! The Witcher 3 Resolution Change on Xbox One “Requires Bigger Change” Than DX12! He is NOT saying that DX12 is Not beneficial to XB1 overall. He is talking about the specific situation with their game, The Witcher 3, and the way its coded. Remember that game started out way before the specs for both consoles were set. These guys were flying blind in regards to the consoles. Especially with XB1 and its changing API. So yeah its true. He cant promise improvements if they decide to support DX12, and that&#039;s because of the  nature of code involved when they were building The Witcher 3. Not all games are built the same, and we certainly cannot expect developers to have the same goals when it comes to their games. Lets not take what he said out of contexts.]]></description>
