Nvidia is using insane tesselation on hair because they know current top end amd cards are weak to tesselation. Thing is at 16x tesselation set via driver cp the quality is visually identical to the nvidia default of 64x+. It’s overkill designed to sell GPUs….but their plan has a !massive flaw

Their previous gen GPUs are also weak to tesselation. So nvidia has gimped their own customers performance probably to tempt them to upgrade. Nvkdia doesn’t let you tweak tesselation levels in the cp like amd does.

After hours of play on both 64+ and 16x levels of tesselation, all of which I captured and poured over I can promise you its identical.

It also means amd has the performance crown for this game with consumer grade cards since they can lower tesselation levels to levels that make sense.

Its like playing a game at 64x MSAA. it would be absurd because 8x MSAA pretty much takes care of any jaggie you could detect
