Nah, this one is on pure AMD incompetence. They rolled back features in the Omega Driver and GTA V driver that PCARS was using and didn’t tell SMS who were using an older version with features they were using. So when they launched, there was a catastrophic performance screw up. People are right to be mad at AMD since it was a big game coming up but AMD only seemed to care about GTA.

So I guess I’ll be playing at 120fps then cause my screen is 120hz.
As far as the GPUs go, Idk too much about them but I have two Titan X’s in my PC. They may not be the very best Idk I just want the game to look really good.
I have yet to play a single game on it so Witcher 3 will be the first one. I truly hope it will be an amazing experience! 🙂

PCARS has an no profile and isn’t optimized at all. A 290X has the same performance as a GTX 760 on very high. AMD and SMS are already blaming each other for it as well (Including AMD accusing SMS of gimping the game). Lets hope The Witcher doesn’t have the same problem.

If it does, I’m switching to team green. 3.5 or no. At least Nvidia Drivers actually work.

well its means with a 120hz screen you can display upto 120fps properly. after 60 frames on a 60hz screen it kind of gets dumped by the display i think because it cant keep up. I think some people say it plays smoother than just locked 60 buts thats probably because vsync adds horrible lag.

All games need to include is a framerate limiter… no vsync just limit the frames so your GPU isnt processing something it doesnt have to. I think in newer Radeon cards theyve added or are at least adding a feature where you type in the max framerate you want and the GPU will control the framerate by downclocking it although its going be all over the place if its not powerful to keep it at 60 constantly

Prior to that I was just a lowly PS4 console peasant, lol.

Going buy project cars later and whether the storm with my AMD card see if performance really is that bad, it’s funny how 1080/60 isn’t real solid 60 haha. Wonder if battle fronts 60fps will be wavering to. That would be funny

The silence of the usual Sony shills is deafening. They were promising a silky smooth 30FPS and PC high settings and it doesn’t seem to have happened
