Unless you play a Scorpio right next to a PS4 Pro, with the same exact TV you’ll never see a difference between the two. The only time you’ll see a difference is in comparison pictures/videos online. The Scorpio is much more powerful spec wise indeed, but that doesn’t always tell the whole story. Developer’s skills in programming and maximizing the console’s potential plays a much bigger role than raw horse power. Plus, the Scorpio isn’t a console that’s positioned to win over very many current PS4 gamers, it’s a console positioned for current Xbox One owners to upgrade to. I don’t see many people making the Scorpio they’re deciding factor to switch sides. It’s too late in this generation and gamers are too vested in their current console’s to switch. There weren’t any substantial gamers jumping ship from Xbox One to PS4 Pro, and it won’t be for the Scorpio either. Also, Microsoft has a long way to go before it runs circles around a company that has almost double the sales as them this generation. Sony has put a whipping on Microsoft in sales since the console’s were first released back in 2013. Microsoft would have to perform a miracle to even break even much less win this console cycle.

Scorpio won’t have Ryzen. Scorpio has been in development for a good while now, and it’ll be equipped with a tried and true CPU architecture instead of an untested bleeding edge one.

I’m a lone wolf who owns both and doesn’t take sides, that’s just how I roll. I just don’t get the whole upvoting yourself thing. Seems a bit weird. But hey, whatever floats ya boat I guess.

Scorpio is more powerful than all PS4’s but power isn’t everything when gaming, it’s also about *games* & support with *full exclusive games* and MS is slacking in the department. We are now in April and in the first four months of 2017 we have seen no new IPs or exclusive games, and that’s worrying.

Hello buddy 🙂 don’t pretend you haven’t noticed his sockpuppets. You don’t mention them because they account for 99% of your upvotes. I’m happy with my vanilla ps4. The pro isn’t worth upgrading to because of the minimal difference. I will gladly ‘shut up’ about it when you stop crying about xbox on every comment you post.

Just a random comment: I said before that I got rid of my PS4s and that I have two xbox ones:

I actually got rid of one of my two xbox ones and bought a One S to watch HDR movies, since I was able to get it for effectively $200 after selling the extras in a bundle, and I sold my Xbox one for a similar price at the time. The only reason I still have my xbox ones is to trade in for a Scorpio, due to the rumored trade in program. Otherwise I would probably sell them too.

It’s easier to see the difference between 720p, 900p and 1080p.

It won’t be as easy to see the difference between “1800p checkerboarded to 4K” and “regular 4K”.

The higher you go in resolution and framerate the more difficult it becomes to tell a difference.

U told it how it is, Im Having fun on my PS4 Pro on my LGB6, it’s pretty obvious to me that Sony and Microsoft are moving to 2 to 3 year hardware refresh cycles, PS4 Pro 2 or PS5 Fall 2018 I can’t wait.
