There Will Be Multiple Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase Presentations This Year

Nintendo says it will upload several Partner Showcase presentations throughout 2020.

Nintendo have struggled to adapt to work-from-home requirements brought on by COVID-19 pandemic, which has led to – unusually enough – there having been no full Direct presentations this year, which in turn has led to a dearth of information on upcoming Switch games (in an already lean year for the system as far as new releases are concerned). However, Nintendo do seem to be taking some measures to address that.

In a press release announcing their recent Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, Nintendo confirmed that there will be several more similar Partner Showcase presentations shared throughout the remainder of the year.

“With multiple showcases this year, we can continue highlighting the breadth of games and the variety of experiences all types of players can get on Nintendo Switch,” the company said, before adding that more details on the next showcase will be shared “in the future.”

This does not cover Nintendo’s own first party efforts of course, but though there are still plenty of questions regarding that, it’s comforting to know that there will be at least some updates on upcoming Switch games throughout the year.

The recent Direct Mini saw a couple of major announcements, including Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne’s remaster being announced for the Switch, and Shin Megami Tensei 5’s release date being confirmed at long, long last.
