Things come full circle: composer who leaked Far Cry 4 now confirmed as having worked on game’s soundtrack

Ironic.

Before Far Cry 4 was announced, its existence was leaked by Cliff Martinez, a music composer whom you would know as, you know, the former drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers. He had claimed back then that he was ‘working on a new video game called Far Cry 4,’ any NDA clauses in his contract be damned!

And now, with the soundtrack to Far Cry 4 finally releasing next week, things have come full circle, as a look at the track listing and credits for the soundtrack demonstrate that Martinez did in fact work on scoring the game.

“Bringing Cliff on board was a no-brainer. Collaborating with him was a dream. He has the remarkable ability to portray compelling emotions and elevate the mundane into extraordinary with his musical talent,” Ubisoft’s Tony Gronick said.

If you are interested in getting the Far Cry 4 soundtrack, it launches digitally this week, with physical editions going on sale in December. The game itself is due out on November 18.
