Every since they introduced the online pass, I haven’t looked at a used EA sports, or EA Game, I don’t even think about buying a THQ games used, I love them. Anyway, these online pass system are killing the used industry, I guess Gamestop has to be blamed for this.

Yea, I don’t agree. If I buy a used game, I shouldn’t have to pay extra to get online on the PS3 since the PS3 doesn’t charge for online play in the first place. people are going to sell their games no matter what. Often its because they need money or they never really never play that game anymore. No one should have to pay extra for a game that’s already been opened, played, and clearly isn’t new.

I don’t blame the game companies @ all. They only ppl that make $ off used games is Gamestop. That’s y developers r closin @ a alarmin rate GS posts record profits evry yr. That’s y they give u double pts on their reward program 4 buyin used games.

if this becomes the norm and all 2nd hand games come with “additional” post re-tail fees will we see a reduction in used game prices, or will simply be we (the gamers) have to pay more funds. I think this is a bad move on publishers part because personally I think it will increase pirating and console hacks…nothing gets people more motivated then when you are told you cant do something.

I didn’t think it was attack on the used game market, I thought it was an attack on pirates. so they couldn’t access online content.
Some people gotta think before they accuse. Although I think it’s bullcrap you have to pay $10 just for multiplayer, most of them you have to pay for are hardly worth playing anyways. Well, Homefront is an exception, but Dead Space 2? Not addicting enough for me to get hot-headed about.

Well 2 things have to fall into place, the game has to be good to be worth keeping and the first owner has to enjoy the online play.
