Last year, when market analysts asked for a price drop, the Wii did indeed drop to $200. Now it’s happening again.
Mike Hickey, and analyst from Janco Partners has stated that unless the price is dropped to $150, Wii sales will continue to peter out.
“We believe they also need to generate strong hardware sales momentum into their competitors release,” Hickey said, “or face the draconian consumer perception of the Wii having a dramatically reduced entertainment value proposition over a faded technology innovation; Rock Band anyone?”
