100. Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening

After the dismal Devil May Cry 2, the series needed a shot in the arm. Capcom delivered, with an insane combat system, even more insane weapons, a borderline insane difficulty that had to be toned down for its Western release – all this and the introduction of Dante’s brother Vergil. Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening is still the highest point for the series as whole.
Last week, when looking at the Top 100 Movies at all time, going through names like Casablanca, Goodfellas and more, it occurred to try and chronicle the top 100 games of all time. This of course meant including many of the current generation’s experiences which have been unforgettable to say the least, but how do they stack up to the greats of yesteryears?The difference between games and movies has always been the player as the protagonist, the hero, the variable. And while only seasoned veterans will recognize all the titles on this list, these 100 games are timeless classics that deserve to be remembered for generations to come.Do you agree with our list?
