I’m really glad someone finally recognizes the Zelda series as the best Nintendo has to offer. I mean, can you really say Mario or Pokemon, (Zelda’s two biggest competitors) are better than Zelda? Truthfully, in no way. Zelda is a series that is so constantly high quality that it well deserves the title of best video game franchise. I can literally no other franchise that can top The Legend of Zelda.

In reply to Dan. By that logic, neither do the Oracle games since they were primarily developed by Capcom. However, I agree that the CD-i games should be ignored. They weren't just not developed by Nintendo, but Nintendo refuse to even acknowledge them anymore.

although i do agree that LoZ is a good game series, you have to remember 3 games that failed in it: Faces of Evil, Wand of Gameleon, and Zelda’s Adventure. At least they make good youtube clips…

These kinds of lists suck. I don’t mean the franchises he chose, but I mean when these lists are labeled as “best (whatever) of all time”, because all-time is a really long time. What if Nintendo announced a new IP tomorrow that winds up being really successful and turns out better than all 15 of those? By saying “all-time” it’s like you’re saying this list is definitive and there is no chance of any new game(s) they may create in the future being good enough to replace Golden Sun as #15 on the list. OK I’ll stop now…
