The IP that will define the generation will of course be Wii Sports, whether we like it or not. I personally find it a lot of fun.

1. KillZone (KZ2 was the first game to showcase the true potential of PS3. It should’ve been mentioned.)
2. Batman (Arkham Asylum was great!)
3. Call of Duty (if you wanna talk about sales, nothing beats COD)

What a retarded thing to say, Uncharted and Mario is two completly different games. It’s like saying
“oh hey Bioshock is really cool and one the most creative titles this decade, but it is only half as appealing as metroid, that’s the real shizzle, lololol xD”

Why isn’t bioshock on the list? Sorry this is way to opinionated to be a serious article.

Oh did I mention that gears 2 sucks hard? I could not finish it because its so damn boring :P but hei just my opinion. Uncharted deserves to be on the top, because its the best!

What a joke Uncharted before Gears? Uncharted is completely unoriginal, they took Tomb Raider and Gears and combined them. Not to mention Gears franchise beasts Uncharted in score and sales, Gears 3 is the biggest preordered game of 2011 Uncharted not even the top 10!

Gears of war definitely is deserving to be in top 3 of this list. So much from that game has been copied or imitated by other games it’s ridiculous. I can’t argue with the top three, though for me I might have put Mass Effect no. 1, then Uncharted, then Gears, even though I think gears has had the most influence on other games and modes than either of those two. What multiplayer game out today doesn’t have some version of horde mode? Not to mention many shooters modifying the gears cover system. Plus chainsaw on the end of your gun? It deserves top three for that alone. It’s tough to beat sneaking behind somebody in MP and chainsawing them from crack to cranium and watching the blood flow!!! Also, even though I don’t play assassin’s creed, I have to believe that game deserves to be in the top ten this gen.

How can any list of new IPs this generation be taken seriously if it doesn’t include Wii Sports?

I don’t care about your personal opinions of the game or the “Casuals” it is THE new IP of the generation and deserves to be on the list!
