Of course they’re gonna make it last gen & current gen. Activision is a business. They create these games to make money, and the user base on last gen is huge so It really shouldn’t come as a suprise to anyone. It’s not a bad thing, it’s just how it is. I have a PS4 and 360 and it doesn’t bother me one bit it’s gonna be last gen too, it’s supposedly outsourced anyway. And even if it wasn’t – who cares? If you don’t like it don’t buy it.

In reply to AndrewLB. But think about how many of that 35 million still have their last gen hardware makes it not as significant. Then when you think that most people who have the last gen are just finishing back logs before moving on etc. You see that there is no point to keep producing for last gen., unless of course you don't have a current gen platform

Graphics and gameplay suffer. Both games have to be somewhat identical in gameplay and graphics, so nextgen game can’t spread it’s wings as much as it wants to.
Look at assassin’s creed. They knew ps3 couldn’t handle Paris in the slightest bit so they made separate games.

In reply to James Roman. Having to reprogram the game in order to use outdated, inferior API's is actually a big deal. There are only 35 million xbone/ps4's in people's homes... but many times that number when you factor in the older consoles.

Making a last-gen version is really no big deal. Advanced Warfare certainly didn’t suffer from it…it was a pretty impressive-looking game (and WORLDS better-looking than Ghosts). Plus I think the PS3/360 versions are outsourced anyway.

I think a lot of games are focusing on using the extra gaming power for adding all these bells and whistles to their games instead of making the games look next gen. They might run next gen with all the features. But a lot of them looks like bumped up xbox 360 games.. i think advanced warfare graphics looks a little better. Single player anyways.
