Why does everyone always act like people need to control things that are out of their control? There’s a lot of people donating, at some point Japan will emerge from this just like many others who suffer from natural disasters. On another note, that does kinda suck for sony and microsoft, hopefully that doesn’t drive prices up.

i agree with doub7, this is a video game blog and the article touched the subject of damage to videogame business. i wonder if the improvement of play station or nintendo would be affected by this. if so, it shows that this tragedy touched all kinds of business and technology.

I don’t think this in poor taste at all. It actually made me think about all the ramifications of the destruction & how widespread it actually is. The damage to the country & its economy will take years to repair.

these consoles could have been donated to kids who lost family members or were affected by the tragedy. it sure would have put smiles on their faces.

In reply to Marty. what do you mean marketing purposes??? The fact that they are donating large amounts of money to help. It has nothing to do with marketing and everything to do with being a humanitarian.

Do we really need to be constantly told how bad it is, because I dont think anyone is going to forget this.....for god sakes people, Japan moved 8 inches on the globe after the earth quake, stop getting mad at gaming bolt for telling you some extra news about the quake

In reply to oldassgamer. nobody is saying that the loss of systems is more severe then the loss of lives, this is merely a comment on how everything is impacted by the earthquake. Did you read the last sentence or just read the headline and decide to "take to the internets"...lol

In reply to Marty. I don't think that PS3 are the things we should be worrying about, they just lost a large number of people. I guess since it has to do with money, I mean Microsoft just use the Tsunami for marketing purposes. What is this world coming too.
