UK Charts: Battleborn Debuts at First Place

Take Two's first number one game in a year.

Despite average critical acclaim, Gearbox Software’s Battleborn has debuted as the number one selling game across all platforms in the UK according to Gfk Chart-Track. Interestingly, this is the first game from the publisher to reach the number one spot since Grand Theft Auto 5 last year.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 dropped down to second place with Ratchet & Clank in third place and followed by, ironically enough, Grand Theft Auto 5 at fourth place. Tom Clancy’s The Division is still hanging around at fifth place.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s other open world success Far Cry Primal is in sixth place followed by LEGO Marvel Avengers and Dark Souls 3. EA Sports UFC 2 is in ninth place while FIFA 16 is in tenth.

What will the charts look like next week with id Software’s DOOM releasing on May 13th? Stay tuned to find out and let us know what you think of Battleborn in the meantime.
