The most recent UK sales charts courtesy of Gfk Chart-Track have arrived and Rare’s Sea of Thieves finds itself in first place on its debut. Even with criticism about the lack of content, shallow gameplay mechanics and non-existent progression, it seems to have found a following.
Unfortunately, it sold less than last year’s top game within the same week, Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda. Make of that what you will. Hazelight’s A Way Out managed to debut in second place while Level-5’s Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom finds itself in third. In a rather odd twist, Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered managed to chart at fourth place. FIFA 18 came in at fifth.
Burnout Paradise Remastered fell from first in its debut to sixth place this week. Grand Theft Auto 5 also fell but to seventh place while EA Sports UFC 3 is in eighth. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey on the Nintendo Switch occupy ninth and tenth place respectively.
