UK Game Charts: Battlefield Hardline Fends off Bloodborne to Remain on Top

Meanwhile, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection enters at third.

It’s been a busy few weeks in terms of game releases. After Techland’s Dying Light debuted to great commercial success in the UK, Battlefield: Hardline arrived two weeks ago to lay claim to the number one spot in sales according to Gfk Chart-Track. The previous week’s sales have also been very fruitful for Visceral Games’ shooter, despite competition from Bloodborne.

Bloodborne entered at second place in the UK charts and despite Battlefield: Hardline witnessing a 43 percent drop in sales, From Software’s RPG came up 22,500 copies short. Another new entrant was Borderlands: The Handsome Collection which, despite releasing on a Friday, managed to score third place in the charts. Grand Theft Auto 5 fell to fourth place.

FIFA 15 is in fifth place followed by Dying Light, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Far Cry 4 (which jumped ten places up to eighth), Minecraft: Xbox Edition and The Order: 1886. What are your thoughts on this week’s UK sales? Let us know in the comments.
