UK Game Charts: Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Debuts at First, Sales Down 50 Percent

Compared to Black Ops 3, Infinite Warfare stumbles.

Yikes.

Though Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision’s latest iteration in the yearly franchise, has suffered tons of negative hype over the months, it was expected that such brigading wouldn’t actively hinder the game’s success. As it turns out, though the game debuted first in the UK, Gfk Chart-Track noted that sales are down by 48.4 percent compared to Black Ops 3. Excluding the numbers that the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Black Ops 3 would have added, sales still dropped by 44 percent.

Activision released a statement to VG247, stating that, “According to GFK, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is the #1 shooter/action game week one launch of 2016 in the UK”

Battlefield 1 dropped to second place while FIFA 17 is in third, The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition is in fourth and Titanfall 2 is in fifth place. Other new entry of the week Football Manager 2017 debuted at sixth place followed by Skylanders Imaginators, Mafia 3, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Forza Horizon 3.
