UK Game Charts: Dying Light Runs Rampant for Second Week

Techland's open world survival horror actually outsold The Order: 1886 and Evolve.

Techland’s Dying Light is still the highest selling game in the UK across all platforms according to recent sales data from Gfk Chart-Track. This is despite the physical retail release of the open world first person survival horror releasing a month later in territories outside of North America.

What’s most surprising though is that Dying Light’s total physical sales have managed to surpass The Order: 1886 and Evolve, games that have been out longer and arguably with much more hype. Taking digital sales into account, it’ll be intriguing to see just how well Dying Light has sold since its January release.

Grand Theft Auto 5 shot up to second place in the previous week with Heists going live for current and previous gen devices. This was followed by the usual suspects with FIFA 15 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare at third and fourth respectively. Dragon Ball Xenoverse continues to hold strong in the charts at fifth place which is odd.

The only new entrant this week was Zombie Army Trilogy which entered at eighth place. That’s pretty good considering it’s essentially a remastered version of Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 1/2 with the third unreleased game thrown in for good measure.
