Surprising no one, Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 debuted at the top spot in the UK according to Gfk-Chart Track. On top of having the best launch week ever for a game in the series (and the third biggest launch of 2015), it also managed to have 213 percent higher sales than Fallout: New Vegas.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 fell to second place with a 57 percent drop in sales while FIFA 15 is in third place (but still seeing strong sales thanks to its Xbox One bundle). Rise of the Tomb Raider managed to debut at fourth place in the meantime with sales being skewed in favour of the Xbox One version – 85 percent of its sales were on the current gen platform versus 15 percent sales on the Xbox 360.
The remaining top ten consists of Minecraft: Story Mode, Need for Speed, Football Manager 2016, LEGO Dimensions, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and Halo 5: Guardians. Though Blizzard saw decent sales with Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void, it only managed to debut at 23rd place out of 40 in the UK game charts.
