So how do you explain that Until Dawn is now selling better than Gears of War?

I would have to disagree with you. I have watched Until Dawn lets plays. The acting in it is absolutely terrible; I don’t mean “cheesy,” which is something they are trying to do on purpose. The execution of the acting is bad on so many occasions. Every single time the Psychiatrist appeared, his acting never looked authentic. It was done very poorly. The story is well written, but it is so offset by the horrible acting.

Well I hear u, good u enjoyed ‘Dawn. But I’d reckon if most players had to choose between the 2, they’d go with the traditional 3rd person game over the “interactive QTE” genre. Gears has a huge following so the sales charts data is a no brainer to me. Ultimately tho, sales does NOTHING for the individual’s gaming experience, and that to me, is all that matters really. Both systems will have a “must own” type of year in 2016…

That’s because it’s not a shooter. People still think the Sony is the Sony of old. But you do see them pushing Destiny, Battlefront and CoD. I would love to try this game at some point during a drought. But that Gears is a solid remake, played it for hours the other day.

the only problem with your remark is this….. its based on opinion. PS4 exclusives tend not to outsell MS exclusives, the single day record for a exclusive is still held by halo.
Not everyone likes interactive 9 hour movie, while gears gives you all the 360 games in bc for free, and has a longer full game, and it has full multiplayer.
Until dawn looks great, but in reality its a interactive movie, its not an amazing looking full game.
