UK Game Charts: Grand Theft Auto 5 Returns to Top Spot

Dying Light falls to second place after three weeks at top.

Whether it was due to the hype surrounding Heists or just its generally unstoppable nature, Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 5 is on top of the latest UK charts. As Gfk Chart-Track revealed, the open world action title placed first over Dying Light which had previously spent three weeks at the top.

Grand Theft Auto 5 has thus far been the number one selling game across all platforms in the UK for 8 weeks. If it manages to spend three more weeks in that position, it will have beaten the record held by Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

FIFA 15 is in third place followed by Minecraft: Xbox Edition. DmC: Definitive Edition debuted at fifth place followed by Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Minecraft: PlayStation Edition. Evolve is still hanging around at eighth place while Zombie Army Trilogy is in ninth. The other debut title for the week, Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition, comes in at tenth place.
