It’s been a fairly barren month in terms of its releases – which is pretty much what July was like until Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Remastered released. The game has continued to dominate sales charts in both the United States and UK since then with the latest UKIE game charts (from Gfk Chart-Track) placing it as the top selling title among all platforms.
This marks the third week that the PS4 port was number one in the charts, followed by Watch Dogs, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Minecraft: PS3 Edition and The LEGO Movie Videogame. In fact, the top ten this week is remarkably similar to last week. Risen 3: Titan Lords actually became the 12th best selling game this week for the Xbox 360 and PS3 but it didn’t even make a dent in the overall top 40.
Next month should be interesting since games like The Sims 4 and Destiny release early. Stay tuned for more information.
