I can think of a few logical reasons that one would assume is common sense.

Naughty Dog showed off the single player for a full year and a half. God forbid Naughty Dog takes two whole months and a tiny bit of time out of two events to show off the multiplayer to help people decide whether they want to check out the beta that just launched and only lasts a couple days.

They also don’t want to spoil too many story elements.

Many people are excited for the multiplayer as well as the story.

This is a way Naughty Dog can show just how much value Uncharted 4 has. God forbid Naughty Dog tries to show off an important aspect of the game their working hard on. How dare Naughty Dog say, “Hey, check out this amazing single player and this amazing multiplayer that adds replay value! Our game is worth $60!” HOW DARE THEY!
