Nintendo has released the monthly eShop performance charts for Nintendo Switch in North America via the Nintendo Switch news feed, and it is an interesting bunch of games yet again. As is always the case, Fortnite topped the charts—which it would, since it’s a free to play game. Let’s ignore that one, and instead focus on the ones that come after.
Undertale launched on the Nintendo Switch in the middle of last month, and was the second game on the chart, with Hollow Knight, the superlative Metroidvania game that saw Switch release earlier this year, holding strong at third place. Super Mario Party managed a top five finish, purely on the basis of pre-orders, I assume, while Final Fantasy 15: Pocket Edition and Cities: Skylines, both shadow drops on the Switch last month without much advance notice, made it into the top 30 too.
As always, it’s remarkable just how much of the chart is third party games, exhibiting the health of the Switch as an overall ecosystem again. You can check out the rankings for yourself below.
