Video Games Declared Art In US

Video Games are now recognized by the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts), which works with the US government, as a legitimate art form under its new grant application guidelines. The NEA essentially issues grants for art works or works about art and it has recently expanded its scope to include a ‘Arts In Media’ category, alongside all the expected forms, which includes: “All available media platforms such as the Internet, interactive and mobile technologies, digital games, arts content delivered via satellite, as well as on radio and television.”

Gooooooooo artistic acceptance!
