Well, I just checked out Streets of Rage Remake 5.0 (final release), a remake of the original Sega classic. This is definitely one example of how to do a remake. Updated graphics, remastered music track, improved scrolling effects, new level designs, new easter eggs, level and color editors, additional playable characters, new moves, new cut scenes, added AI character, it's all there with this remake. Too bad it's an unofficial remake because Sega in their infinite and reedy ass wisdom decided to be a bunch of pricks and forced the take down of the game. But, hey, it's out on the net now, so there's no putting the genie back in the bottle. Plenty of mirror sites and torents that can be used to grab the game, something I HIGHLY suggest everyone do. This game is freakin' awesome!
