In reply to Mr_Aaron. I think 3D movies is a fad. Not until they can do it without the need for glasses. But a virtual reality is no fad. That would be freakin' amazing. Imagine being immersed in the Star Wars or Mass Effect universe, or playing a FPS being in the environment with a physical gun. It's not just the headsets that are being developed, but omni-treadmills as well. With the way technology is advancing, I'm sure VR gaming be available to consumers in a few years' time.

The usual “VR is like 3D movies fad” article or this variant “3D Gaming Fad” (Was that even remotely a FAD!!) It’s cool to swim against the current yeah? Except that you’re completely wrong. The experience of being inside a completely virtual world is remarkable. Period. So let me get this straight VR isn’t cool it’s just a fad but Microsoft making your loungeroom into a giant inferior virtual experience is cool!
