They are miffed that used games profits don't reach them? This sounds like a competition issue rather than fair's fair issue. If their line of reasoning is correct, then all the thrift shops and pawnshops of the world owe back-pay for Levis Jeans, Sony TV's, Fender Guitars, The people who make Grad dresses, cheap jewelry and about every other product imaginable, including games. Their solution is to provide a better service than re-re-salers. If they can't hack it, then the share holders may have to give up the dream of getting their hands on all that hypothetical money they never earned in the first place.

Waaaaaaaah!

So developers don't get a dime of it, why should they? They got paid for the sale of the new one, just like everyone else that makes anything.

In what other circumstance does the original maker get any money from a used sale that leads them to believe they should get anything?

I've never bought a new car. Do you hear Ford or BMW whining about how none of my money made it in to their pockets? Half the books on my shelf are used. Should I be sending checks to the authors? Do I need to go on?

I really don't get how anyone thinks that complaining about a lack of income from resale of something they already sold deserves any response other than a hearty laugh in their face.
