Actually, the real reason why it is coming to the Xbone is because Microsoft backtracked on cross platform play.

The developers stated the reason why it was on the PS4 and not on the Xbone was because Sony allowed cross platform play with Steam but Microsoft had a no cross platform play policy with anyone outside of Xbone Live.

Microsoft had this policy for a decade. But once the Xbone started losing in sales, devs started skipping the Xbone and two weeks after Tim Sweeney criticised Microsoft’s monopolistic closed Windows 10 store, Phil Spencer backtracked. They backtracked simply because their platform is dying.

Now Phil Spencer and the frauds over at Microsoft are acting like they care about cross platform play and devs and journalists are kissing Microsoft’s rear.

Interesting that MS is now resorting to bribing indie devs. The more that games like Tacoma and Cuphead flop on the Xbone, the less that strategy will be tenable.
