Warcraft Film Officially Dated, Releases on December 18th 2015

Based on World of Warcraft, the film will go up against Sony's Inferno.


Just when you thought it was but another abandoned video game film, Universal and Legendary Pictures have announced that Warcraft has been officially dated according to Deadline. It will be releasing on December 18th 2015, and will be the first film to be released under the new partnership between the studios.

Directed by Duncan Joines, who also co-wrote the screenplay along with Charles Leavitt, the movie will be based on Blizzard Entertainment’s successful MMORPG World of Warcraft. It will also apparently be releasing on the same day as Sony’s Inferno.

Other credits include Charles Roven and Alex Gartner who are producing the film for Atlas Entertainment, Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni for Legendary Pictures and Stuart Fenegan, Jillian Share and Brent O’Connor serving on the project as executive producers.
