ps3 dominated 09-10 and unless xbox starts signing more exclusives i see 2011 a playstation year other than the 3ds being a big news

So you’re starting an article saying that it’s a year where Sony has totally dominated every major gaming console in terms of quality and perfection – but then you fail to mention how the other platform performed in terms of quality and perfection. Something to hide? Perhaps the PS3 didn’t “dominate” as well as you’ve hoped?

In reply to Eric. The article is not flamebait as no other console was mentioned other than the PS3. It is also not simply a list of exclusives, it is a list of all notable titles released over the year. As far as Haze goes it was released in May of 2008, I'm also not sure what other "disastrous exclusives" you are referring to. 2008, despite Haze, was the real year that the platform took off with notable exclusives like MGS4, Resistance 2, and Little Big Planet.

In reply to evantonio. Where is your inFamous, your Killzone 2, your Uncharted 2? The PS3 succeeded this year because of strong first party support, something the Xbox lacked this year. And yes, Little Big Planet alone is not worth a console purchase, but in combination with the games I listed above it is, just like the Xbox is worth purchasing for the games you listed. One exclusive will not sell consoles, people don't buy a console for just one game, it is a combination of exclusives that will push sales.

I wouldn’t say dominated in 2009, it did better then the year before and it had some really good first party exclusive stuff, but that’s it. Almost evry game that came out on both 360 and PS3 sold more on the 360 as well as the superior version of the game most of the time being on the 360. Sony di however show how awesome a ps3 exclusive can be. we will probably see more exclusives and even more game being better made for the PS3.

The 360 hands down has a much better network, many times on my PS3 have I been stuck trying to update at the same time as everyone else. The 360 has much more user yet I don’t get stuck trying to update.

Let not get into the whole GOW3 demo code fiasco. I’ve never had issues with vouchers not working on MS.

Paying taxes on content really sucks.

It’s all about the games!!!
