Assassin's Creed series were excellent, if not for the flaw in gameplay on the II sequel, where advancement of the plot hangs on winning a near impossible running, wall crawling & roof jumping race. The philosophy is as brilliant as the game play, I am sure most kids playing miss on the concepts. Ubisoft, thanks for planting seeds.

I disagree. Most people liked assassins creed and viewed it as a potential franchise with tons of great ideas. The main complaint was that there wasn't enough mission variety.

Watch dogs on the other hand has complaints all over the place they range from things like boring missions, hating the main character, the world feeling dead, worse graphics than gta5 as in a world much less detailed.

My biggest gripe was that the world just felt fake. For example gta5; In gta5 if you follow the police the will eventually arrest someone, pull over a car, stop a crime etc. In watch dogs they drive in a circle forever. The same goes for fire and ambulance. They don't behave in any way realistically. They are visually represented and that's it. Also people in gta5 will roam around, stop and talk, go places and do things. In watch dogs they loop in circles forever.

Traffic in watch dogs doesn't behave in a realistic manner as it does in GTA, nothing does in fact. Adding to the dead world of watch dogs is the total lack of soul in the city. Sure it runs at a higher resolution than gta5 did but gta5 still looks better. The lighting feels more alive, the city has almost infinite small details that make it lived in and real. watch dogs feels empty and looks as if nobody has ever been there.

You could say comparing to gta5 isn't fair and you might be right. The real issue is that watch dogs does none of these things well. It would help if it did a couple but it does none.

Add in a way over hyped hacking mechanic that loses its charm pretty quickly, so truly dumb AI...truly truly dumb and some odd vehicle physics and you have a game that game that just doesn't feel modern at all.

Considering the budget and time this spent in development and the amount of hype UBI drummed up watch dogs was HUGE letdown. Had it come out before or around gta4 it would be acceptable but as a modern game...it falls very short and that's something that doesn't hold true for assassins creed.
