Similar way to get at peoples emotions, and it worked.

i agree 100%. it was so uncomfortable to watch. also with detroit, they always show these high-tense scenes of a young girl’s life being in danger (on the building, then the one shown at paris). i get they want to build suspense and make ppl feel their choices matter… but they need to show some of the regular gameplay too. it’s just too extreme.

with the last of us 2, we got no gameplay, just a high-tense, extremely violent scene to formally introduce the game to the world……….. OK.

after watching the conference I had to watch ultra-cute chibi anime just to re-balance myself emotionally.
