Good luck to Nintendo, then. Releasing a machine that’s comparable to 6-7 year old consoles that are inching ever so forward towards the next gen versions is a bold move. Even with a unique controller… I bet you’ll see new PS/XB consoles in 2013 or 2014 in which case the WiiU will be stuck exactly where the Wii was, with aged tech, while it’s competition boasts shiny new graphics and cpu heavy features.

Then, we’ll start seeing stuff like… Vita ports to the WiiU? Honestly lots of PSP ports were made for the Wii… I can see it happening.
