When the PS3 and 360 launched they were more powerful in their day in relation to the PC than the current consoles are. That allowed them to stay relevant longer. These new consoles are already much weaker than PC’s. They are fairly close now to a good mid-ranged PC but will fall behind quicker than before. Better tools will help but they don’t stand a chance against a high end gpu. They will have to sacrifice resolution and special effects at a minimum and probably fps as well.

The Maxwell gpus from NVIDIA will immediately put a massive gap between consoles and even some gpus now so need to bolt down which high end gpus there talking about cus if these tools come out in 3-4 years the gpus then will make gpus today look like they come from the stone age!!
