Microsoft gets away with too many lies and greedy practices. Microsoft deserves to be sued and fined in to oblivion for this. My Too Human and Bioshock discs were ruined by Microsoft's horrible engineering.

Many people complained to Microsoft and they said, "Too bad, you shouldn't have moved your console."

Yet, there were no warning labels adressing such a thing.

Xbox One is also a poorly engineered piece of sh*t with a mother board slapped on the bottom and a fan just slopped and disc drive slopped on top, inside a box. You can't even stand it on it's side without breaking. Microsoft put absolutely 0 effort into their console. The Xbox 360 literally felt and sounded like I was holding a toaster.

So uh...this won't go anywhere. First off Microsoft didn't design the DVD drive they bought it from a vendor so if anyone pays anything it will be that vendor. Yes it was an oversight by both the vendors and Microsoft to not have some type of buffer that would prevent scratches BUT Microsoft was pretty damn clear in the manual and also the tutorial that you should NEVER move the Xbox with the power in and a disc in the drive. No tiny bumps would not damage your disc the only time they got damaged was real movement due to user stupidity. The 360 certainly isn't the first console to scratch a disc people are just money hungry idiots and any chance they see they immediately try to sue.

Btw Microsoft would replace damaged discs for $5 which is basically shipping costs all you did was call and send your disc back to them and then maybe next time you play your new copy you won't move the damn thing around. They will replace any disc for any reason too so if you have a dead game givem a call
