"Ever since Microsoft launched this program almost a year ago, it has had a distinct advantage over Sony to the point where some PS4 players are quite annoyed the firm hasn’t done something similar yet."

I'm annoyed by that statement when you offer no proof of others being annoyed. I don't know anybody in the PS4 camp who is crying that they can't play their old games on their new console. I personally didn't buy a next gen system to go backwards. Next generation means forward progress towards newer and better experiences. A lot of people held off on purchasing some last gen titles like GTA5 because they knew that a next gen version was imenent. I still have a PS3 hooked up in another room, and some PS3 games. I don't desire to go back and play them, but my son still plays them online with his friends. Nope. I've moved on to the 8th gen games, and VR. The natural progression of things. Old games are for people who love nostalgia, with nothing new and exciting to play. People who's next gen hardware are much more challenged to render next gen games as properly as the quality of a PS4 does. These are people who miss all the fun of the previous generation of hardware, and just can't seem to get that same fix from the current generation. These people are known as Xbox One kinda people. I feel sad for them. They have no new exclusives games anymore, but they still have some old ones to play. Viva Pinata anybody? Yay?
