My mistake. PS4 can play games (without MP) without having the update. But your hyprocisy is still very real and true. Can you share game clips without updating the PS4 as it was advertised to do out of the box? Can you play multiplayer games without updating the PS4 as it was advertised to do out of the box? Can you do anything to do with the internet without updating the PS4 as it was advertised to do out of the box? No.

This may seem like a horrifying revelation to you, but the simple fact is that Xbox One/S sells fine. PS4 is quite clearly doing much better in this aspect.
